Polar region-specific data repositories

Antarctica:

Quantarctica, managed by the Norsk Polar Institut, is a collection of Antarctic geographical datasets for research, education, operations, and management in Antarctica. It integrates with QGIS, but the data in the package can also be used in other software.

The SCAR Antarctic Digital Database hosts extensive topographic (coastlines, rock outcrop, contours, etc) data sets on Antarctica.

The Australian Antarctic Data Centre hosts Australia’s Antarctic Data.

For bathymetric (depth) data in Antarctica, IBSCO, the International Bathymetric Chart of the Southern Ocean is the authoritative map.

Greenland:

QGreenland is similar to Quantarctica but for Greenland.

The Arctic:

NSF Arctic Data Center The primary data and software repository for NSF Arctic research

General polar data:

The US National Snow and Ice Data Center is an excellent resource for all things icey.
